Tutorials for Intelligent Autonomous Systems
As we develop our own tools for supporting IASs, we also help the larger community by posting tutorials on using common tools to build better systems.
There will be two tutorial tracks:Gazebo Fortress (release 6) and ROS Humble running on Ubuntu Jammy Jellyfish which are supported until 2025.Gazebo Harmonic and ROS Jazzy running on Ubuntu Noble Numbat which are the newest LTS products
Both tracks will follow the same path:
Part 0: Why Simulate?
Harmonic / Jazzy / Numbat (current LTS releases)
Intro to using Gazebo physics based simulator and ROS robot operating system for designing autonomous robots (6 parts)
Part 1: Installing Gazebo Harmonic Part 2: Examine an Empty World Part 3: Build a simple Robot Part 4: Build an Arena Part 5: Install the Robot Operating System ROS Jazzy Part 6: Add Lidar to the Robot Part 7: Create an Autonomous Robot
HJN - adding lights and color
